Whilst there are some obvious trade-offs associated with a megaphone of this grade (size, portability, price and potentially battery life), it is the best performing megaphone you can get. It has such a reputation that is used by the U.S. Army and other military forces. It is rated at 50 Watts (some recreational megaphones clock in at 8 Watts), enabling it to carry your voice over 1200 yards in ideal conditions.
I have to be honest, I have only ever used this model from Pyle on one occasion. We were at a motorsports event, and I was acting as a safety marshell near the pit lanes. Of course the built in siren is very handy (and loud!) for attracting attention and clearing spectators out of the way over the noise of engines, but the real power comes from the voice projection. You are able to easily make announcements over engine and background noise, and really make yourself heard.
As I said earlier, there are the size and price considerations of a model like the Pmp50 Pro. However, if you are looking for a heavy duty, reliable and LOUD megaphone, you need look no further than the Pyle here. Of course, the price could put people off, and I would not advise this model for casual use or at sporting events (or for indoor use) - it is simply more megaphone than you need!
